Career Planning Service

Starting with your GMAT/GRE and GPA and shortlisting schools based on the score is an exercise that anyone can do.

If that is what you want, our service is not for you. However, if you truly believe that your current job function or industry has led you on a path of boredom or misery, or your industry/function is at risk of being redundant, planning your career with the right program and branding strategies is the first step.

Now ask yourself – what are the core skills that would help me succeed in Private Equity, Business Development, Consulting, Strategic Planning, Product Management, Investment Banking, Operations, or Leadership?

Our experience in formulating goals based on the applicant’s career, motivation, and interests in the Essay Review Service has led to a significant success rate for all our clients (chosen to at least one of their top 5 schools).

Clients have credited the brainstorming session as vital in understanding their true interests.

Many, who were adamant about entering Investment Banking, found a better match in Product Development, while the extraverted applicant destined to be in Marketing found a new interest in Finance. The switch is incredible to watch when the questions lead them to a career they love.

Frequently Asked Questions

1) How many questions are included as part of the service?

Based on our previous engagements, at least 15 questions are required to learn about an applicant’s career and life journey. Our service questions follow an iterative questioning technique where we start with your experience, qualification, extra-curricular and passions. Since this might be your last chance to pivot into a career you love without losing earning potential, our goal is to find the intersection of your competence and passion.

2) Would the service be offered over the phone or through email?

Most of the interactions would be through email, but we prefer an initial phone conversation as we have found it to be valuable in evaluating the applicant’s worries, hope, and passion. Without understanding the underlying emotions in the answers, consultants second-guess. We don’t want to do that. Expect us to call you whenever we feel that you are stuck in the process and need a phone conversation to reach a step closer to the answer.

3) Who should I contact for any questions about the service?

You can contact Atul Jose (Editor/Admissions Consultant) at editor@f1gmat.com or Skype us at F1GMAT.

4) What happens after I purchase the service?

After the purchase, we would send an email and schedule a time for an initial conversation. Before starting the conversation, you can send the latest resume to Atul Jose (editor@f1gmat.com)

Reviews

"The case for looking at long-term goals and trends in the post-MBA industry influenced my approach to shortlisting MBA programs. Atul is unapologetically optimistic but asks questions that reveal the risk of each career move. The school selection is also a powerful process where my viewpoints are pushed to their logical conclusion with a rational approach. The overall experience with the Career Planning service was excellent!!! "- Verified Customer

"I had moments in my career where the outcome was easily predicted. In many, I struggled to find my niche, especially with my previous employer. I learned about F1GMAT through Atul's LinkedIn Posts. The strategies to evaluate career by base skills made me think about pivot points that will help me gain a fresh start. After discussing with Atul, I learned that MBA was not for me. The Master's program in the UK offered me a shorter and cost-effective way to transition into Corporate Finance. "- Verified Customer

"Atul's command of job market trends is admirable. So are his skills in asking the right questions. Many of his explorations of my career journey were personal that explained my unconventional pivoting. The IMPACT table exercise and research helped me see the bigger picture of the turmoil seen in the Technology industry, where I had an unceremonious exit. Thank you for your guidance in such a tricky time... "- Verified Customer

"My interaction with Atul was a profoundly optimistic one. There were plenty of insights from the research report he shared that built my confidence to continue in IB. The three career paths he suggested and the complementing extracurricular to target for the MBA Application thrust an important plan on an otherwise ignored aspect of my life. I later subscribed to the Essay review service that gave Atul a complete perspective on my journey. The vulnerability breakdown we brainstormed helped us create an authentic narrative for the application. Grateful for your help and guidance that was instrumental in my admission to both Stanford and Harvard." – Verified Customer

"I was an imperfect match for Wharton MBA. The pedigree was lacking. So was my extracurricular. Atul, early on in 2022, pushed me to join a children's non-profit in an area that was closely tied to a cause that was dear to me – "pediatric cancer." The engagement was meaningful as I witnessed the discovery of a lifesaving drug that changed the life of the beneficiaries I was serving. I could share a couple of stories of my time with the non-profit that gave me a new perspective on life and goals. The experience moved the needle in favor of my admission at Wharton.” – Verified Customer
